Best advice, take it to a mechanic.Hydraulic brake systems are fairly easily to work on if you have a little knowledge.By your question I assume you don’t.Brakes are very important and not something to be played around with.A reputable shop will diagnose the problem for very few $.

check the brake fluid level
may have a air bubble and needs to be bled
or the pads are worn out

If you have no external leaks and the fluid is up to snuff – replace the master cylinder because it is by-passing fluid internally.

theres a bunch of air in your brake system. call up a buddy and start taking your wheels off to fix it. start from right rear to left rear then to right front to left front. all you do is have one person pump the brake pedal about 5 times then hold it down while you, release the brake valve at the wheels. use a 10mm i think. release the right side then left side while the guy in the car still have his foot down on the brake pedal. do it like 5 times, rear and front but make sure the brake fluid doesn’t empty bottom out. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THERES FLUID INSIDE FILLED TO THE TOP! yeah you can do it about 3 times and then go to the front and fill in some brake fluid. DOT3. good luck!!

So I just bought a 06 RSX and I just stumbled upon some people saying that the 06 has a terrible repair record and the 05 model is better…can somebody explain?

If you go by consumer’s report-06 does have a terrible repair record. Personally I feel if you maintain the car properly you will not have problems with it. I own a 06 tsx, bought new 11/06. It has almost 90,000 problem free miles. I have all the service done by a acura dealer.

Everyone else is right, it depends on how well a vehicle is maintained… However, if you look into it, you will find that the 06 models seem to have more problems then 02-05. I’ve got not explanation why, that’s just how it is.

thats not true its all on how your drive it and take care of it. you can also go on to ownerlink.com to register your car. pretty koo site to keep track of your repairs or if theres any recalls from acura.

People don’t know what they are talking about. K series engine is friggin bulletproof. I have 127,000 miles on mine and it runs like new.

I’m trying to buy my boyfriend a present and I don’t know anything about B18s, he swapped his old civic lx engine for an integra b18 type engine. Thats about the extent I know. I’m always bitching that he’s spending too much money on his car but I realize I don’t support him enough, so this is my first step in trying to support his hobbies… I just don’t know what I should be looking for, ya know?

can you help me out? anything would be appreciated!

Without a turbo, a blow off valve is useless.

any, and itll only be of use on a turbo engine, which it doesnt sound like he has.

get him an HKS SSQV. He will love it i promise. HKS is a very very good brand. He does have a turbo though right? You need a turbo to need a blow off valve lol.

The b18 motor is a nonturbo motor. A blow off valve is a part in a turbocharged engine. So dont buy it, because he can’t use it.

WHY!?

Likely a tie rod. Could be the center link. Could be warped rotors.

Shouldve gotten a Lexus LS400 Luxury sports car with the sports luxury package.Acuras are just Hondas.FYI.

Warped rotor(s).Worn out wheel bearings.Worn out ball joints.Worn out tie rod ends.Bent control arms (did you hit a curb or something?).

Most likely you have some sort of a thickness variation in your front brake rotors—{rust on your front rotors}. The rust will cause the brake pad to be pushed back and push the caliper piston back into the caliper very fast causing Noise, shaking, and brake pedal pulsations.

Warped rotors

It is either warped brake rotors, or something in the steering.Take your car in to get an alignment, which will fix it, or they will tell you what you need to replace to have it done.

I need help here. I just installed a distributor and the car won’t start.

did you position piston #1 all the way up it is the first one from your right put a straw or something in it w/out the spark plug hold it the have some one crank the engine just a tap mark the straw and leave it at the highest point you can if it dont turn over then my guess is its mechanic time hope this help i believe this is called top dead center

Did you disconnect the battery to do the work and forget to hook it back up?

Is it the correct distributor? Did you put it in 180 degrees out of time. I think you can only put it in two ways one way is correct and one is 180 degrees out. Try pulling it out and rotating it 180 degrees and re-install it.

What car is better / faster? A 2004 Acura TL or a 350Z?
My cousin has an 04 non type-S TL and he is always bragging about how fast his car is. I have been getting interested on the 350 now.. If I get the it will I be able to beat him in a race? considering that both cars will be stick shift…

Please also give me your personal opinion about wich one looks better and wich one you think is better. If you can, plz tell me the pros and cons out of both of them..

Thank you

I dont know the trim for the Nissan, but if you go on to kbb.com you can compare them. Also look at the engine size and horsepower/torque for performance on speed. If i am looking at a Nissan Coupe 2D it looks like that one would win, but it would be close. It would moreover depend on the driver’s skills.

The Nissan looks more like a sports car. The Acura gets better gas mileage. The Acura is FWD which is better for racing and such. Wheel base is also better. A longer wheel base means a less bumpy of a ride, but the turning radius then is somewhat compromised.

But it is up to you! Hope this helped!

350z by far!

I have one and If you learn to drive the car you will be beating him crazy. I think they are a great car and have 2 of the greatest things you can ask for a car: thats luxury and speed.

here is a great forum site that has alot about the car.

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeroforum/168

TL is a car u kick back in…looks nice rides good 4doors to pack the kids/friends around in and a lil kick but the 350z is a race car…2seater fast as **** and looks baller.
